Please join me in the recap of the first season of my creative life, where I joined the worlds of movie and game blogging, along with grabbing the mic (twice!) to hit the internet waves.
Pilot: No Spoilers!
The beginning was fairly simple. As a frequent moviegoer and sworn couch potato, I often wanted to communicate my thoughts, comments, and opinions on a movie or show, the same way that I did with my close friends and colleagues.
In order to fill this need, I contacted the team behind SpoilerAlert.gr, one of my favourite corners of the greek web, and asked if it would be possible to join their cause. To ensure them about my writing skills, I submitted my first ever article, listing a sixsome of movies in the dramedy genre that I recommended watching. Quite bold for a first article, right?
After a few more lists and reviews, they even entrusted me and gave me directions to record and edit short videos around movie and TV news and updates!
Episode 2: This DJ accepts requests
Around the same time, I decided to pursue another ambitious project, the one of becoming a radio producer!
For this stop in my journey, I joined the team of Dream City Web Radio. There was no traditional studio, as every member was broadcasting from home, using their own equipment and coordinating via social channels.
The title of my show was "Motherboard" (no comments, please) and I opted for the morning zone of Monday. As a preparation for every show, I compiled a playlist (often themed), while leaving some room for listener requests.

Episode 3: #BustedEimai
I'm getting the hang of it. I can write long texts with proper syntax, grammar, and punctuation. So, why not try to write for something else that I love, namely video games?
Enter Busted.gr, with its small team of dedicated editors. While I started with editorial articles around gaming, I quickly shifted to writing (again!) about TV and cinema, amassing over 100 articles in total, with almost daily presence that helped to immensely improve my writing craftsmanship.
We even had a short stint with a YouTube show discussing the latest around the big and the small screen.
Episode 4: Back to the mic
Why leave it there, when there is appetite for more? My interests have grown, so I'm searching for a medium to directly submit and share my sayings.
Here comes 464 XLM (464 ΧΛΜ), where I partnered with a dear friend, in order to use the podcasting platform to talk about literally whatever we had in our minds, from music concerts to book clubs and from cultural events to twisted zodiac signs (if you know, you know).
Even though our fan base (let's call it that) was not large, we had dedicated listeners that provided their reviews and suggestions in order to improve our outcome.
Episode 5: Let's keep it short
These days, I would like to experiment with the short-form video content.
I have uploaded my debut video on TikTok and I'll try to be consistent and establish a platform where I can showcase all the things that I love. From a technical standpoint, it seems to be easy to record and edit, but the ideas need to keep flowing.
Let's see how that goes!
Season Finale: Lessons?
I know that the common thing to do now is to talk about mistakes and lessons learned but meh, that's not my forte. I like to keep learning and trying and evolving, so mistakes and lessons will always follow along.
Please stay tuned for more updates, as seasons are being renewed and more episodes are released!
Cheers
